Injuries caused by manual handling are one of the most common causes of time off from work and can be a considerable cost to the employer. These injuries often also cause severe discomfort or disability for the injured person.
This course is ideal for all employees who are involved in planning and / or undertaking manual handling tasks and is usually offered as a 1-day course, combined with Prevention and Management of Discomfort, Pain, and Injury (DPI).
A practical course that provides an understanding of risk factors with manual handling, techniques for back injury prevention and workplace control measures.
