Duration: 1 day (Online sessions with an IMPAC trainer. Any self-directed work is trainer-led, with your trainer available throughout on chat.)
The desired outcome is that the committee has a clear direction for moving forward. We also cover what the committee should and should not be covering in meetings, in order to ensure the effectiveness of the committee and engaging it’s members to encourage participation.
The course covers:
- Worker Engagement, Participation, and Representation Regulations 2016
- General duties of the committee under the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015
- The Health and Safety Committee composition and functions
- Preparation and documentation of meetings
- Guidance on how to hold effective meetings and communicate the outcomes
The course uses a range of practical group exercises and scenarios. For inhouse courses your specific company documentation can be included on request.
